Italian firm Mediterranea Design creates statement sculptural furniture using cutting-edge digital manufacturing processes. The Kalsa coffee table is an environmentally conscious design that is 3D printed from bioplastic.

Kalsa's fluid form is complemented by a transparent glass surface. Its shape and colour are reminiscent of the domes found in one of the oldest districts of Palermo, dating back to the period of Islamic domination. Designed for both indoor or outdoor use, the table top can be customised and made with the same biodegradable material as the structure.
